Covid 19

We have been working hard to stay abreast of the very fluid COVID-19 situation. We are monitoring all communications from the World Health Organisation, Australia Department of Health and Queensland Government.

There is no question this will impact our business going forward and we are assessing daily to assess implementation and management of our protocols and procedures to ensure we are doing everything within our power not only to mitigate this situation but to also provide the essential services required.

Guidelines For Our Staff

No staff will be at work if they have travelled overseas within the last two weeks. After all travel, everyone needs to self isolate for two weeks.

Staff who feel unwell, seek medical advise and inform your supervisor. If you are unwell, anyone with even a mild cough or low-grade fever (37.3 C or more) needs to stay at home, self isolate for two weeks, and keep in contact with your supervisor.

Cover your coughs and sneezes. We won’t ask others to sign documents and won’t share tools with outside contractors. The virus can live on metal surfaces for up to 7 days.

Wash hand regularly. Wash shared diving or other shared equipment after every use, before every dive, and at the beginning and end of every day. Keep all equipment clean, and disinfect areas where possible.

Keep 1.5 metres from others where possible. No handshakes or close greetings. Keep 1.5 metres away from anyone who is sick.

Don’t touch your face & wash hands regularly.

COVID-19 Policies and Procedures for Customers, Sub-contractors and Visitors at Waters Marine Sites and Workshop.

We have been working hard to stay abreast of the very fluid COVID-19 situation. We are monitoring all communications from the World Health Organisation, Australia Department of Health and Queensland Government.

There is no question this will impact our business and many others going forward and we are assessing daily to assess implementation and management of our protocols and procedures to ensure we are doing everything within our power not only to mitigate this situation but to also provide the essential services required.

What we have done:

In the last week, we have taken the following steps:

  • Increased cleaning and sanitisation of our facilities plant and diving equipment.
  • Prepared our teams to respond quickly to any emerging situation to ensure the health and safety of all.
  • Implemented a mandatory self-quarantine policy for any/all staff that have travel outside of Australia since 1st March.
  • Implemented a Work From Home (WFH) plan for Management, which will continue if a lock down is put in place. We will still be contactable by mobile phone and email.

 What we are doing:

Established two dive teams, both operating separately to each other, to minimise chance of infection, or total shut down of all staff in the case of a member requiring isolation.

Talking to staff, and establishing clear guidelines for working during the pandemic.

Please do not visit our workshop and office. Chances are it will not be open during the pandemic.

What you can expect:

  • The high traffic and common areas of our workshop will receive a disinfectant clean between shifts.
  • Personnel on our two dive teams will not have direct contact at any point in time.
  • Our staff and management will be continually monitoring and auditing the working procedures, and future updates to guidelines by government.
  • All previous reports and client information is still available as normal, even while we are working from home.
  • Quoting and Tendering is still available, even if we move into lock down.
  • Emergency activation of dive teams at the moment still possible, but this will be assessed as government advice changes daily. Where possible we will still service all client requirements.

Please remember we are taking these proactive steps in an attempt to ensure the health and safety of all working on site and the continued operation of all our businesses.

Your co-operation in achieving these aims is essential and greatly appreciated.
